Facebook is currently testing short-form videos in the Facebook app in India. According to reports, The new ‘Short Videos’ feature shows up in the middle of the News Feed and reveals the next video in a similar TikTok style swipe-up manner. If you click on the ‘Create’ button, the Facebook Camera gets launched and users can browse videos by swiping up.

India was TikTok’s largest userbase but Govt of India banned 59 Chinese apps, in a significant action to retaliate over the border tension between India and China in Ladakh’s Galwan Valley, as they were “prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India.”
Facebook is still testing a new ‘Short Videos’ feature inside its app. This feature is very similar to TikTok’s style of video format including the swipe-up scroll for the next video.
