Chennai Super Kings star batsman Suresh Raina will miss the whole of IPL 2020 after opting to return home due to “personal reasons”. The franchise has confirmed the development on Twitter. Raina has returned to India from the United Arab Emirates where the tournament is set to be held.
Raina had recently announced his retirement from international cricket.
CSK’s preparation for the upcoming season is reportedly hit by multiple positive cases of Covid-19 in their contingent that has led to BCCI putting the tournament schedule on hold.
The 13th edition of the IPL will begin from UAE from September 19. Amidst speculation over his sudden exit from the IPL 2020,As per Some Source, Suresh Raina chose to skip IPL 2020 due to a rift between him and CSK skipper MS Dhoni.Chennai Super Kings owner and former BCCI President, N Srinivasan recently Raina will realise what he is missing, including ‘all the money’.
According to Outlook, Suresh Raina was unhappy from the day CSK landed in UAE because the hotel room he was given. Raina was finding the stiff protocols of the Bio Bubble claustrophobic and wanted a similar room that MS Dhoni had been provided.
