Suryakumar Yadav scored an unbeaten 79 off just 43 balls, while RCB skipper Virat Kohli lost his cool and resorted to sledging MI batsman Suryakumar Yadav. Having done extremely well in domestic cricket and in IPL, Suryakumar Yadav’s knock came just two days after he received the heartbreaking news of not making it to the India squad for the tour of Australia.

Shockingly, the selectors decided against picking him as His knock of 79 came off just 43 balls and was studded with 10 fours and three maximums as Mumbai Indians chased down 165 with five balls to spare.

The incident started when Kohli decided to engage Surya into banter around the 13th over of the chase when the RCB skipper picked up the ball and walked to the batsman and said a few words.

MI beat RCB by five wickets as they chased 165 in 19.1 overs, while Surya’s knock also earned him the player of the match. But things didn’t end there as former Mumbai Indians spinner Harbhajan Singh took to Twitter to give the Indian selectors a timely reminder of Suryakumar Yadav’s batting abilities. Harbhajan hailed the latest knock from the batsman while taking a dig at the selectors as he tweeted:

Kohli was staring at Suryakumar Yadav and Yadav did not take his eyes off the RCB skipper either. Later Kohli came and stood right next to the Mumbai Indians batsman before the latter decided to walk away without saying anything as he left the RCB skipper red-faced.
