The Education Ministry has decided to conduct the UGC NET between May 2 and 17, keeping in mind the current coronavirus situation in the country. The exam dates are May 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 14, and 17. The examination dates of the UGC NET 2021 have been announced by Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal today via Twitter.
Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal has announced the dates of the UGC NET 2021 exam today. He has stated in a tweet that the National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the exam from May 2, 2021, onwards.
The UGC NET 2021 examination will be conducted for the Junior Research Fellowship and eligibility for Assistant Professor in affiliated universities. As per the education minister’s announcement, the exam will commence on May 2 and will conclude on May 17.

The candidates who will be appearing for the examination can check all the details on the information portal of the exam’s official website from today onwards.
Candidates who which to appear for the exam can fill out the application form online through the official website ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The candidates will be able to fill out the application form on the official website from February 2, 2021, onwards.
Candidates will be able to fill out the application form for the UGC NET 2021 exam from February 2, 2021, to March 2, 2021. The application fees for the same can be paid by March 3, 2021.
Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal will also be announcing the date sheet for the CBSE board exams 2021 for students of classes 10 and 12 today. The board exams are set to commence from May 4 and will be concluded on June 10 for both classes.
Examinees can utilize NTA’s newly launched mobile app called the “National Test Abhyas” – to take mock tests for UGC-NET and other exams under the NTA’s purview as their Test-Practice Centers (TPCs) were closed during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
UGC NET is conducted twice a year. However last year, due to the pandemic the exam was conducted only once in September and ran through November 2020 to cover all the subjects. The December exams were postponed and hence this year the exam dates were advanced to May.
A relaxation of upto 5 years is provided to the candidates who have served in the armed forces subject to the length of service in the armed forces upto the first day of the month in which the concerned UGC-NET is concluded.
How can I get NET exam in 2021?
- Before applying for UGC NET, candidates must go through complete information bulletin and details of application process.
- Complete procedure of application will be carried out in online mode.
- During application process, candidates will have to first register with unique email id and mobile number.
