Prime Minister Narendra Modi is addressed the nation through his monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat. The address is telecast on the last Sunday of every month. This is the 67th episode of Mann ki Baat.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi begins his Mann ki Baat, on the ocassion of Kargil Diwas. He says “the the day is very special, as the war happened at a time and in a situation that nobody can forget. India wanted good relations with Pakistan, but that did not happen.”

 


He further said “In many parts of Bihar and Assam, floods have created many problems. Governments, NDRF and state disaster management teams, and self held groups are working together in relief and rescue work”

In this program,PM Modi talked about the potential of tourism industries in the North East region and development of the region as bamboo industry hubs.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi says that National Handloom Day is approaching and that local ventures, handicrafts, handlooms and artisans should be supported.

As Rakshabandhan approaches, PM Modi urged people to go “vocal and local”, and this was correct as it was a chance to support local businesses. He added that “The joy of celebrating festival increases when it helps expand the business of people in our society, in our neighborhood & make it a joyous festival for them too”.
