The Michelin-star chef,Chef Vikas Khanna organized the largest food drive in the world for the underprivileged.He launched the food drive, ‘#Barkat‘, across Delhi-NCR to provide relief and aid to vulnerable communities like the differently-abled, transgenders, and sex-workers. With this, he aims at distributing 2 million meals in a single day.
Ever since the lockdown came into effect, Khanna has distributed over 9 million meals across 125 cities in India.

Barkat is the world’s largest food drive to benefit people with disabilities, transgenders, sex workers, AIDS patients, orphanages and leprosy centres in India. Vikas Khanna also coordinated to deliver more than 1.4 million meals for Mumbai’s dabbawalas and 500,000 meals and essential medical supplements and herbal drinks for widows in Vrindavan.

The 48-year-old world-renowned chef, author, and film-maker, Vikas Khanna is going to bring his Food-Drive to Assam and Bihar!


As per Reports, In Assam Floods, over 28 lakh people across 26 districts, of the state’s 33 districts, have been affected in the flood-hit state. A whopping amount of 119,435 hectares of crops have been destroyed and 74 revenue circles affected. A total of 47,213 affected people have been evacuated and shifted to 286 relief camps across the state. The total death toll rise to 111.

In the Kaziranga National Park, so far 123 animals have died and 150 have been rescued.


Not only Assam but in Bihar, Close to half a million people in nearly a dozen districts in Bihar have been affected by the flood that has cut a swathe of destruction across the northern parts of the state.


As per Reports, A total of 4.6 lakh people in 245 panchayats of 10 districts have been affected by the deluge that has displaced more than 13,000 people. So far, 4,845 people have been put up at 16 relief camps.
