The spirit of the people of Assam Bohag Bihu or Rongali Bihu 2021 is at the doorstep. One of the most important festivals of Assam, Bohag Bihu will be celebrated from April 14 to April 16, 2021. With traditional fervor and enthusiasm, Assamese people will celebrate Rongali Bihu over a span of seven days.

Meanwhile, The Assam Health and Family Welfare Department on Friday notified Covid-19 of appropriate guidelines (SoP) for the upcoming Rongali Bihu 2021 and other festivals in the state in view of the fresh spike of Covid-19 cases in many parts of the country.

Firstly, Use of masks and hand sanitizer has been made compulsory for visitors/organizers. Secondly, Organisers must take measures to avoid crowding at all costs. Thirdly, The state government has directed the organizers to conclude the celebrations by 11 pm mandatorily. Each and every participant should be screened for fever using thermal scanners by the volunteers and anyone having a higher temperature may be advised to report to the nearest health facility and should not be allowed to enter the event area.

Meanwhile, Assam reported 245 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday.

The government’s notification also said that the event organizers have to seek permission from the concerned district administration for organizing any event resulting in a public gathering.

Mix cardamom powder and condensed milk. Keep stirring continuously till the mixture is thick and lump-free.
